Where we work

Communities we serve

We work from Parksville across ten Oceanside communities in the Regional District of Nanaimo. Along the shore that means Nanoose Bay to the south and, heading north, French Creek, Qualicum Beach, Dashwood, Qualicum Bay and Bowser. Away from the water, Errington, Coombs and Hilliers bring rural lots and plenty of shade.

Parksville

Parksville moss goes brown in the dry summer and greens up again with the fall rain. We clear it from roofs, skylights and paving by hand, with a low-pressure soft wash.

Qualicum Beach

Watch the roof from the driveway and leave the ladder to us. We clear moss by hand from Qualicum Beach roofs, steps and paths, and bag it as we go.

Nanoose Bay

Roof moss in Nanoose Bay greens up with the bluffs every fall and roots in arbutus litter. We lift it off by hand and keep the roof wash at low pressure.

French Creek

French Creek fits low manufactured-home roofs, townhouse rows and wind-dried beach houses into one short stretch of 19A. Each grows moss its own way, and we clear each by hand.

Errington

On an Errington lot the moss follows the tree line. We clear the shaded strip by hand, soft wash lichen off the sunny side and tidy the windows that face the woods.

Coombs

Coombs has one roof that is meant to grow grass, and yours is not it. We lift moss off shingles and shakes by hand and only wash a roof at low pressure.

Qualicum Bay

Many Qualicum Bay roofs go a whole wet season with nobody looking at them. We clear the moss that builds up by hand, whether you are here or not.

Dashwood

Dashwood pairs older homes with big, treed lots, and moss roots deepest in a worn roof. We clear the roof and the drive by hand, with a low-pressure wash.

Bowser

Bowser roofs sit under cedar and fir, with porch and shed roofs below catching what falls. We clear every roof on the lot by hand and keep the wash at low pressure.

Hilliers

In Hilliers the moss usually starts in a bed of fir and cedar needles. We clear the needles and the moss together, by hand, so the next crop has less to grow in.
